What is your Crafter warning telling you?
Read the wording alongside the light rather than relying on its colour alone. Volkswagen's yellow SCR fault guidance says the system may be disrupted or contain non-standard AdBlue, and advises having it checked. That is different from a straightforward low-level warning.
When you contact us, include the complete message and any remaining distance. Please also tell us:
- Whether the van currently starts.
- Whether you have recently added AdBlue, and how much.
- Whether any other warning lights or driving problems appeared.
Why the light may remain after a top-up
A low fluid level is one possible cause. A fault within the AdBlue emissions system or unsuitable fluid is another. Because Volkswagen distinguishes these conditions, a warning that remains after refilling should not simply be treated as a request for more fluid. The message needs checking.
For a refill warning, follow your own handbook and the quantity shown by the vehicle. Volkswagen's red AdBlue level guidance states that an insufficient level can prevent starting and calls for the minimum refill quantity. Do not ignore a red warning: stop somewhere safe and follow the vehicle's instructions.
Does your particular Crafter use AdBlue?
Volkswagen documents AdBlue equipment for the Crafter, but the model name alone is not enough to identify your van's setup. We confirm its equipment and software suitability from the registration rather than assuming every diesel Crafter is the same.
A dashboard photograph helps us understand your enquiry, but it does not establish which component is at fault. Tell us about previous work or software changes too, so those details can be considered before we quote.
How AdBlue Solutions can help
AdBlue Delete and AdBlue Removal are two names for the same software service. We change the engine computer's software so it no longer runs or monitors the AdBlue system, clearing the related warnings and countdown. We do not replace, fit, repair or clean parts, and this work does not fix unrelated engine faults.
Not every vehicle is suitable. Once we have checked your registration and agreed the work, we can arrange a mobile visit to your home, workplace or another safe location, subject to availability.
Other software services are quoted separately and are never free with AdBlue work. These include Economy Remap, Performance Remap, Stage 1 Remap, Stage 2 Remap, DPF Delete and EGR Delete. Stage 2 requires suitable supporting modifications; DPF Delete and EGR Delete are software only.
Why choose AdBlue Solutions?
We offer Experienced Technicians and Nationwide Mobile Service Across England. You can read genuine Google reviews before booking. Our No Fix, No Fee promise is straightforward: "If we cannot complete the job, there is no charge."
Our Lifetime Software Warranty applies to the software work on that vehicle. If the covered work develops a problem, we correct it again. Later software updates or recalls void the warranty. Callout charges, including emergency callout charges, are not covered.
Standard hours are Monday to Sunday, 8 AM to 8 PM. We also offer 24/7 emergency callouts, subject to location and availability. An additional emergency callout charge is confirmed before dispatch.
Book help in three steps
Have your van's details ready so we can check the enquiry without unnecessary back-and-forth.
- 1. Send your registration, postcode and warning details, ideally with a photo, by WhatsApp. You can also call or use the quote form.
- 2. We check vehicle suitability and provide a quote for the agreed software service.
- 3. Arrange a mobile appointment at a safe, accessible location, subject to availability.
Customer FAQs
Will adding AdBlue always clear the warning?
No. A low-level warning and an SCR system fault are different conditions. Follow the refill instructions for your van, but have a continuing fault warning checked rather than repeatedly adding fluid.
My Crafter will not start. Can I still enquire?
Yes. Tell us it will not start when you contact us, and send the exact dashboard message. We check suitability before agreeing a visit; we cannot promise that software work will resolve an unrelated starting fault.
Does AdBlue Removal mean taking the tank out?
No. Our AdBlue Removal service changes the engine computer's software. We do not physically remove the tank or carry out parts work.
Can you come to my workplace?
Yes, subject to availability and a safe place to work. Send the workplace postcode and mention any access restrictions when arranging the appointment.
Is an economy remap included?
No. An Economy Remap is a separate software service with its own suitability check and quote. It is not included free with AdBlue work.
Need Help With an AdBlue Warning?
Send your registration, postcode and a photo of the warning. We check suitability and confirm the price before anything is booked.
