Dashboard messages
The Focus still shows a low AdBlue message after you've refilled it.
A countdown to the point where the car won't start again.
A general AdBlue or emissions fault on the instrument cluster.
A message about AdBlue or exhaust fluid quality that won't go away.
The engine light and an emissions message, sometimes with less power.
AdBlue Delete & Removal
We come to your home or workplace and change the Focus's software so it no longer runs or monitors the AdBlue system. The warnings and countdown are cleared, and there are no more AdBlue top-ups. If your Focus turns out not to use AdBlue, or isn't suitable, we tell you at the start.
Vehicle suitability
Many fourth-generation Focus diesels (from 2018) with the 1.5 or 2.0 EcoBlue engine use AdBlue, but not every 1.5 EcoBlue does, and some earlier ones don't. Older Focus diesels with TDCi engines generally don't use it. We confirm it by the exact engine, year and whether there is a blue AdBlue filler cap. Petrol EcoBoost and mild-hybrid Focus models never use it. We confirm your engine from the registration before quoting.
Found a fault code during a diagnostic scan? Enter it below to understand what it could mean, what warning signs to look out for and what information our mobile AdBlue specialists need to help you.
From AdBlue pressure faults to NOx sensor warnings and SCR system problems, explore common diagnostic codes in simple English.
These are shared diagnostic codes, not confirmed faults for every Ford Focus. Applicability depends on your vehicle and scan results.
8 common codes
Fault name
What it means
The system has reported insufficient reductant pressure. Diagnostic checks help establish the cause, rather than assuming a failed pump.
VIEW FAULT DETAILSFault name
What it means
SCR NOx reduction efficiency has been reported below its expected threshold. The full scan and sensor readings help identify possible causes.
VIEW FAULT DETAILSFault name
What it means
The code concerns SCR operation or monitoring. Read it alongside the full scan and vehicle-specific information.
VIEW FAULT DETAILSFault name
What it means
The code concerns a NOx sensor circuit or signal. It does not alone confirm which part needs attention.
VIEW FAULT DETAILSFault name
What it means
The code concerns a NOx sensor circuit or signal. It does not alone confirm which part needs attention.
VIEW FAULT DETAILSFault name
What it means
The code concerns a dosing or aftertreatment injector. Check the fitted system and full scan before assuming a cause.
VIEW FAULT DETAILSFault name
What it means
The system reports that the reductant level is too low. Check the actual fluid level and whether the reported level is accurate.
VIEW FAULT DETAILSFault name
What it means
The system has reported reductant quality performance. The code alone does not identify the cause.

Contact us before the count reaches zero and tell us the miles remaining. Once it reaches zero the car won't restart after switching off, which makes the visit harder to arrange.
