What does the warning actually mean?
Start with the message beside the light. Volkswagen says a yellow AdBlue supply warning requires refilling within the displayed remaining range. A yellow SCR system warning means the emissions-treatment system is disrupted or the fluid does not meet the required standard. That distinction helps you avoid treating every warning as an empty tank.
Tell us whether the message appeared before or after a refill, whether a countdown is showing and whether the Caddy still starts. Include any other dashboard warnings in your photo. We need the full message, not just a close-up of the AdBlue symbol.
Does your Caddy use AdBlue?
Volkswagen’s UK Caddy Cargo brochure confirms AdBlue twin dosing on the TDI engines it describes. Its Caddy Life brochure also identifies AdBlue use on the TDI versions covered. This does not mean every diesel Caddy ever built has the same system.
We confirm your vehicle’s details from its registration rather than relying on the Caddy badge or its age alone. AdBlue fitment and suitability for our software service are separate checks: having an AdBlue system does not automatically make a vehicle suitable.
Still showing after a refill or counting down?
If you have already topped up, check that you followed the instructions for your particular Caddy. If the message says there is a system fault, do not assume the tank needs more fluid. Volkswagen’s fault guidance calls for the system to be checked, rather than simply refilled.
Take a no-restart message seriously. Volkswagen confirms that a red AdBlue level warning can mean starting is blocked by insufficient fluid, while a red SCR fault warning can prevent restarting because of a system fault. For either red warning, stop somewhere safe and seek assistance.
When contacting us, give the exact remaining distance shown. If the vehicle is already unable to start, say so at the beginning of your enquiry so we can assess the request with that in mind.
How AdBlue Solutions can help
We offer AdBlue Delete and AdBlue Removal, two names for the same software service. On a suitable vehicle, we change the engine computer’s software so it no longer runs or monitors the AdBlue system, clearing the related warnings and countdown.
This is software work only. We do not replace, fit, repair or clean parts, and the service does not fix unrelated engine faults. We check suitability from your registration before quoting and explain what the proposed work covers.
Our mobile technicians can visit your home, workplace or another safe location across England, subject to availability. Tell us where the Caddy is parked and whether there are any access restrictions when arranging the appointment.
Why choose AdBlue Solutions?
You get Experienced Technicians and a Nationwide Mobile Service Across England. You can also read genuine Google reviews before booking. Our No Fix, No Fee promise is straightforward: "If we cannot complete the job, there is no charge."
Our Lifetime Software Warranty applies to the software work on that vehicle. If the covered work develops a problem, we correct it again. Later software updates or recalls void the warranty. Callout charges, including emergency callout charges, are not covered.
Standard hours are Monday to Sunday, 8 AM to 8 PM. We also offer 24/7 emergency callouts, subject to location and availability. An additional emergency callout charge is confirmed before dispatch.
Book your Caddy in three steps
Have the vehicle details and warning photo ready, then choose WhatsApp, a phone call or the quote form. You do not need to identify the fault yourself.
- 1. Send your registration, postcode and warning details, including a photo and any countdown.
- 2. We check suitability and provide a quote for the agreed software work.
- 3. Arrange a mobile appointment at a safe, accessible location, subject to availability.
Customer FAQs
Will adding AdBlue always clear the warning?
No. Refilling addresses a low supply, but a system fault requires a different assessment. Check the wording rather than assuming every AdBlue warning means the tank is empty.
Can you help if my Caddy will not start?
Contact us with the registration, location and exact message. We assess suitability and availability before accepting the job. We cannot promise that software work will resolve an unrelated starting fault.
Does AdBlue Removal mean removing the tank?
No. Our AdBlue Removal service changes the engine computer’s software. It does not involve taking out the tank or replacing any components.
Is an economy or performance remap included?
No. Economy Remap, Performance Remap, Stage 1 Remap and Stage 2 Remap are quoted separately. Stage 2 needs suitable supporting modifications. DPF Delete and EGR Delete are also separate software-only services.
What should I mention if the Caddy was recently updated?
Tell us about any software update or recall when enquiring. Later software updates or recalls void our Lifetime Software Warranty, so this information matters when assessing previously covered work.
