What does the CLS AdBlue warning mean?
Start with the wording on the dashboard rather than the warning symbol alone. Mercedes-Benz distinguishes between low-fluid messages and AdBlue system faults. Depending on the message and vehicle, a fault can also bring reduced performance or a remaining-distance countdown before restarting is prevented.
When you contact us, include the whole message and any distance shown. Tell us whether the car still starts, when the warning appeared and whether you have already added AdBlue. Take the photograph while safely parked.
Why might the warning stay on after a refill?
Low fluid is only one possible cause. Unsuitable or contaminated AdBlue can affect the exhaust treatment system, and Mercedes-Benz warns against diluting the fluid or using additives. A refill should not be treated as the answer to every AdBlue warning.
If you have already topped up, follow the instructions in your own handbook rather than repeatedly adding more. The CLS handbook includes a refill-recognition procedure, but it treats system malfunction messages separately. A warning that remains needs its wording checked, not another guess at the fluid level.
A photograph helps us understand what you are seeing, but it does not prove which component has failed. Please also mention any other warnings or changes in how the car runs.
Does every diesel CLS use AdBlue?
Do not assume every diesel CLS has the same equipment. Mercedes-Benz UK's service information for the 218-generation CLS makes AdBlue servicing dependent on the fitted BlueTEC exhaust treatment equipment. The model name alone is not enough to establish the specification.
We confirm the vehicle details from your registration before quoting. That check also establishes whether our software service is suitable for your particular CLS. Not every vehicle can be accepted, so send the registration even if you already know the engine size and year.
How AdBlue Solutions can help
AdBlue Delete and AdBlue Removal are two names for the same software service. We change the engine computer's software so it no longer runs or monitors the AdBlue system, clearing the related warnings and countdown on a suitable vehicle.
We do not replace, fit, repair or clean parts. This work does not fix unrelated engine faults, so do not assume every warning light or running problem will be resolved by AdBlue software work.
Once suitability is confirmed, we can arrange a mobile visit to your home, workplace or another safe location across England, subject to availability. Let us know about parking, access and whether the car can be moved when requesting your quote.
Why choose AdBlue Solutions?
Our service combines Experienced Technicians with a Nationwide Mobile Service Across England. You can read genuine Google reviews before booking. Our No Fix, No Fee promise is straightforward: "If we cannot complete the job, there is no charge."
The Lifetime Software Warranty applies to the software work on that vehicle. If the covered work develops a problem, we correct it again. Later software updates or recalls void the warranty. Callout charges, including emergency callout charges, are not covered.
Standard hours are Monday to Sunday, 8 AM to 8 PM. We also offer 24/7 emergency callouts, subject to location and availability. An additional emergency callout charge is confirmed before dispatch.
Book help for your CLS in three steps
Start with the vehicle details and warning, rather than trying to choose a service yourself. We will explain whether our software work is suitable before you arrange an appointment.
- 1. Send your registration, postcode and warning details, ideally with a photo, by WhatsApp. You can also call or use the quote form.
- 2. We check suitability and provide a quote for the agreed work.
- 3. Arrange a mobile appointment at an accessible, safe location, subject to availability.

Customer FAQs
Can I ignore an AdBlue countdown if the car still starts?
No. A no-start countdown warns that restarting can be prevented once the displayed distance is used up. Follow your handbook and seek help before it reaches that point.
Can you help if my CLS already will not start?
Tell us that when enquiring and send the exact warning. We check suitability first. An AdBlue-related starting restriction is different from an unrelated starting fault, which our service does not fix.
Does AdBlue Removal mean taking the tank out?
No. Our AdBlue Removal service changes software only. We do not remove the tank or carry out physical work on AdBlue components.
Is a remap included with the AdBlue work?
No. Economy Remap, Performance Remap, Stage 1 Remap, Stage 2 Remap, DPF Delete and EGR Delete are separate software services, quoted separately. Stage 2 requires suitable supporting modifications.
Can you come to my workplace?
Yes, subject to availability and a safe, accessible place to work. Send the workplace postcode and any access restrictions with your enquiry so we can discuss a mobile appointment.
Need Help With an AdBlue Warning?
Send your registration, postcode and a photo of the warning. We check suitability and confirm the price before anything is booked.
