What is your S-Max warning telling you?
Ford’s S-Max handbook separates low AdBlue messages from system malfunction messages. A low-level message calls for a refill. A system fault message means the car has detected a problem that needs attention, rather than simply asking for more fluid.
When you contact us, include the full message rather than just saying the AdBlue light is on. Tell us whether the car currently starts and whether you have already topped up.
- Photograph the warning while safely parked.
- Include any remaining countdown distance.
- Mention other warning lights or changes in how the car runs.
Why can the warning stay on after refilling?
Adding AdBlue addresses a low fluid level, but it does not establish that the rest of the system is working correctly. Ford lists fluid quality and system faults as other reasons for the warning, so a full tank does not rule out a problem.
If the message remains, note how much you added and when. Follow the handbook rather than repeatedly adding fluid without checking the instructions. AdBlue belongs in its separate tank, never the diesel fuel tank.
Does your S-Max use AdBlue, and how urgent is a countdown?
The S-Max range includes 2.0 EcoBlue diesel versions with AdBlue. Do not assume that every diesel S-Max has the same equipment. We confirm your vehicle’s specification and suitability from the registration before offering our service.
A no-start countdown deserves prompt attention. The S-Max handbook identifies both low-fluid and system-fault warnings that can lead to a starting restriction. Do not treat the remaining distance as a guarantee that you can put the issue off.
How AdBlue Solutions can help
AdBlue Delete and AdBlue Removal are two names for our same software service. We change the engine computer’s software so it no longer runs or monitors the AdBlue system, clearing the related warnings and countdown on suitable vehicles.
This is software work only. We do not replace, fit, repair or clean parts, and the service does not fix unrelated engine faults. Not every vehicle is suitable, which is why the registration check comes before a quote or appointment.
Our mobile technicians can visit your home, workplace or another safe location across England, subject to availability. Tell us about access, parking and whether the vehicle can start when you enquire.
Why choose AdBlue Solutions?
We offer Experienced Technicians and Nationwide Mobile Service Across England. You can read genuine Google reviews before deciding whether to book. Our No Fix, No Fee promise is straightforward: If we cannot complete the job, there is no charge.
Our Lifetime Software Warranty applies to the software work on that vehicle. If the covered work develops a problem, we correct it again. Later software updates or recalls void the warranty. Callout charges, including emergency callout charges, are not covered.
Standard hours are Monday to Sunday, 8 AM to 8 PM. We also offer 24/7 emergency callouts, subject to location and availability. An additional emergency callout charge is confirmed before dispatch.
Book your mobile appointment in three steps
Start with the details below so we can check the vehicle and explain the next step without guessing. You can enquire by WhatsApp, phone or the quote form.
- 1. Send your registration, postcode and warning details, ideally with a clear photo. Tell us if the car will not start.
- 2. We check suitability and provide a quote for the agreed software work.
- 3. Arrange a mobile appointment at your home, work or another safe place, subject to availability.

Customer FAQs
Will topping up clear every S-Max AdBlue warning?
No. Refilling is the appropriate response to a low-level message, but a system malfunction is a different warning. Check the exact wording against your handbook.
Can you help if my S-Max already will not start?
Contact us with your registration and a photo of the message. We check whether our software service is suitable. We cannot promise to resolve a no-start problem caused by an unrelated fault.
Does AdBlue Removal mean taking the tank out?
No. Our AdBlue Removal service changes software only. We do not physically remove the tank or replace any components.
Is a remap included with the AdBlue work?
No. Economy Remap, Performance Remap, Stage 1 Remap and Stage 2 Remap are quoted separately. Stage 2 needs suitable supporting modifications. DPF Delete and EGR Delete are also separate software-only services, subject to suitability.
What should I do before the technician visits?
Agree a safe parking location with us and explain any access restrictions. Let us know if the warning changes or the car stops starting after you book.
Need Help With an AdBlue Warning?
Send your registration, postcode and a photo of the warning. We check suitability and confirm the price before anything is booked.
