What is your Citan’s warning telling you?
Start with the message rather than the warning symbol alone. Citan handbooks distinguish between low AdBlue levels and system faults. Depending on the version, the display may also show a remaining distance before restarting becomes unavailable.
When contacting us, include every message you can see, whether the van still starts and whether you have already topped up. A clear photograph helps us understand what you are seeing without asking you to interpret it.
Why does the warning stay after a refill?
A refill addresses a shortage of fluid, not every possible AdBlue problem. Mercedes-Benz documents both refill warnings and separate system malfunction messages for the Citan. A fault message should not automatically be treated as another request for fluid.
The refill procedure also matters. The Citan handbook explains that the level may not register immediately and warns against overfilling. Follow the instructions for your particular vehicle rather than repeatedly adding more AdBlue to chase the warning.
Tell us roughly how much you added, when you added it and whether the message changed afterwards. You do not need to diagnose the cause before getting in touch.
Which Mercedes-Benz Citans use AdBlue?
There are AdBlue-equipped Citan diesels, including the second-generation 110 diesel shown in the UK manufacturer’s brochure. A UK road test also identifies an AdBlue tank on the newer Citan. This should not be taken to mean every diesel Citan uses the same system.
We confirm your vehicle details from the registration. Not every Citan is suitable for our software service, so the model name or an advert for a similar van is not enough to confirm a booking.
How AdBlue Solutions can help
AdBlue Delete and AdBlue Removal are two names for the same software service. We change the engine computer’s software so it no longer runs or monitors the AdBlue system, clearing the related warnings and countdown on suitable vehicles.
This is not a parts service. We do not replace, fit, repair or clean tanks, pumps, sensors or other components. The software work does not fix unrelated engine faults, so tell us about any other warnings or running problems when requesting your quote.
After checking suitability, we can arrange a mobile visit to your home, workplace or another agreed safe place in England, subject to availability. Confirm the vehicle’s location and any access restrictions when booking.
Why choose AdBlue Solutions?
Our Experienced Technicians provide a Nationwide Mobile Service Across England. You can read genuine Google reviews before deciding whether to book. Standard hours are Monday to Sunday, 8 AM to 8 PM.
Our No Fix, No Fee commitment is straightforward: “If we cannot complete the job, there is no charge.”
The Lifetime Software Warranty applies to the software work on that vehicle. If the covered work develops a problem, we correct it again. Later software updates or recalls void the warranty. Callout charges, including emergency callout charges, are not covered.
Book mobile help in three steps
Have the warning details ready before contacting us. If a countdown is showing, include the remaining distance and tell us whether the Citan currently starts.
- 1. Send your registration, postcode and warning photo by WhatsApp, call with the details, or use the quote form.
- 2. We check vehicle suitability and confirm a quote for the proposed software work.
- 3. Arrange a mobile appointment at an agreed safe location, subject to availability.

Customer FAQs
Can an AdBlue countdown stop my Citan restarting?
Yes. Mercedes-Benz documents warnings where restarting becomes unavailable once the displayed distance has been covered. Follow your handbook and seek help before the countdown runs out.
Does AdBlue Removal mean taking the tank out?
No. Our AdBlue Removal service is software only. It is the same service as AdBlue Delete, not physical removal of the tank or other parts.
Can you help outside standard opening hours?
24/7 emergency callouts are available, subject to location and availability. An additional emergency callout charge is confirmed before dispatch. Tell us if the van cannot start when you enquire.
Is an economy or performance remap included?
No. Economy Remap, Performance Remap, Stage 1 Remap and Stage 2 Remap are quoted separately. Stage 2 needs suitable supporting modifications. DPF Delete and EGR Delete are also separate software-only services, subject to suitability.
What if my Citan has other engine problems?
Describe them when requesting a quote. Our AdBlue software service does not fix unrelated engine faults, and we cannot promise that every dashboard warning will clear.
Need Help With an AdBlue Warning?
Send your registration, postcode and a photo of the warning. We check suitability and confirm the price before anything is booked.
