What does the warning on your X3 mean?
A request to top up AdBlue is different from a message reporting an AdBlue system fault. BMW explains that low fluid triggers warnings before it runs out. If the tank becomes empty, the engine will not restart until AdBlue is replenished.
When contacting us, include the whole message rather than just saying the warning light is on. Tell us whether the car still starts and whether you have already added fluid.
- Photograph any remaining mileage or no-start countdown.
- Mention when the warning first appeared.
- Include any other warning messages showing alongside it.
Which BMW X3 models use AdBlue?
BMW's UK launch information for the third-generation X3 in November 2017 confirms that the xDrive20d and xDrive30d used an SCR catalytic converter with AdBlue injection. That supports those versions, not a blanket claim about every diesel X3 ever built.
We confirm the vehicle details from your registration. Having an AdBlue-equipped X3 does not automatically mean it is suitable for our software service, so please get that check before arranging a visit.
Why is the warning showing, even after a refill?
Low fluid is one possible cause, but BMW also identifies incorrect-fluid warnings and AdBlue system faults. A refill addresses an empty or low tank; it should not be treated as proof that a separate system fault has been resolved.
If the message remains, follow your vehicle handbook rather than repeatedly adding fluid or guessing at a reset. General motoring guidance also distinguishes a straightforward refill reminder from a fault warning that needs investigation.
Send us the warning photo and details of any recent refill or previous work. We will explain whether our software service is an option for your X3. A dashboard photograph alone is not a confirmed diagnosis.
How AdBlue Solutions can help
AdBlue Delete and AdBlue Removal are two names for the same software work. We change the engine computer's software so it no longer operates or monitors the AdBlue system. We do not physically remove, replace, fit, repair or clean parts.
The service deals with the related AdBlue warnings and countdown. It does not fix unrelated engine faults, and we cannot promise that every warning on your dashboard will disappear.
After checking suitability from your registration and agreeing the quote, we arrange a mobile visit to your home, workplace or another safe location in England, subject to availability. Tell us beforehand if the vehicle cannot start or access is restricted.
Why choose AdBlue Solutions?
We offer Experienced Technicians and Nationwide Mobile Service Across England. You can read genuine Google reviews before booking, and our No Fix, No Fee promise is straightforward: "If we cannot complete the job, there is no charge."
Our Lifetime Software Warranty applies to the software work on that vehicle. If the covered work develops a problem, we correct it again. Later software updates or recalls void the warranty. Callout charges, including emergency callout charges, are not covered.
Standard hours are Monday to Sunday, 8 AM to 8 PM. We also offer 24/7 emergency callouts, subject to location and availability. An additional emergency callout charge is confirmed before dispatch.
Book your mobile appointment in three steps
Start with the vehicle details, not a guess about which part has failed. WhatsApp is a straightforward way to send the warning photograph, or you can call or use our quote form.
- 1. Send your registration, postcode and warning details, including a photo and any countdown.
- 2. We check your X3's suitability and provide a quote before you commit.
- 3. Arrange a mobile appointment at an agreed safe location, subject to availability.

Customer FAQs
Will topping up AdBlue clear my BMW X3 warning?
It may address a low-fluid warning, but a system-fault message is a different issue. Follow your handbook's refill instructions and seek help if the warning remains rather than assuming more fluid will solve it.
Should I wait until the countdown reaches zero?
No. BMW's warning information identifies situations where an engine restart may be prevented. Contact us before the countdown runs out, and tell us immediately if your X3 already will not start.
Does AdBlue Removal mean taking the tank out?
No. Our AdBlue Removal service is software only, exactly like our AdBlue Delete service. We do not remove the tank or carry out physical parts work.
Can you attend outside normal opening hours?
Yes, 24/7 emergency callouts are available subject to your location and availability. We confirm the additional emergency callout charge before dispatch.
Is a remap included with the AdBlue work?
No. Economy Remap, Performance Remap, Stage 1 Remap, Stage 2 Remap, DPF Delete and EGR Delete are separate software services, quoted separately and subject to suitability. Stage 2 requires suitable supporting modifications.
Need Help With an AdBlue Warning?
Send your registration, postcode and a photo of the warning. We check suitability and confirm the price before anything is booked.
