What does the warning on your Ford Edge mean?
A low-level message asks you to replenish the fluid. A system-fault message indicates a malfunction, while a no-start countdown warns that starting will be restricted. Ford distinguishes between these messages in the Edge handbook.
When contacting us, include the complete message rather than just saying the AdBlue light is on. Tell us whether the car starts and whether you have already added fluid. You do not need to identify a faulty component before getting in touch.
Which Ford Edge versions use AdBlue?
Ford's UK brochure for the 2019 model-year Edge confirms that its 2.0-litre EcoBlue diesel engines use AdBlue. That is not a reason to assume every diesel Edge has the same system. We confirm your vehicle details from the registration.
For a straightforward low-fluid warning, follow your vehicle's handbook for topping up. AdBlue belongs in its separate tank, not the diesel tank. A low-level warning alone does not mean you need software work.
Why is the light still on after a refill?
Ford notes that a refill from empty may take a short period to register. However, a warning with sufficient fluid can indicate a system malfunction. Adding more fluid is not an answer to every warning, and Ford advises against overfilling.
Send us the current warning photo and explain what happened before it appeared. Include any other dashboard warnings rather than assuming they are all AdBlue-related. We need that information to discuss whether our software service is appropriate.
How our mobile software service helps
AdBlue Delete and AdBlue Removal are two names for the same software service, not separate jobs. We change the engine computer's software; we do not replace, fit, repair or clean tanks, pumps, sensors or other parts. The work does not fix unrelated engine faults.
Not every Ford Edge is suitable. We check the registration before quoting and explain the scope of the proposed work. If suitable, we arrange a mobile visit to your home, workplace or another safe place, subject to availability.
Our standard hours are Monday to Sunday, 8 AM to 8 PM. We also offer 24/7 emergency callouts, subject to location and availability. An additional emergency callout charge is confirmed before dispatch.
Why choose AdBlue Solutions?
We offer Experienced Technicians and Nationwide Mobile Service Across England, with genuine Google reviews available to read before booking. You can ask what the software work covers and make your decision before arranging a visit.
Our No Fix, No Fee promise is straightforward: "If we cannot complete the job, there is no charge."
Our Lifetime Software Warranty applies to the software work on that vehicle. If the covered work develops a problem, we correct it again. Later software updates or recalls void the warranty. Callout charges, including emergency callout charges, are not covered.
Book Ford Edge help in three steps
Have the warning details ready so we can discuss the right next step without guessing. If the car will not start, make that clear when you contact us.
- 1. Send your registration, postcode and warning details, ideally with a photo, by WhatsApp. Alternatively, call or use the quote form.
- 2. We check vehicle suitability and provide a quote for the software work, confirming any applicable emergency callout charge.
- 3. Arrange a mobile appointment at your home, work or another safe location, subject to availability.
Customer FAQs
Can I ignore the countdown if my Edge still starts?
No. Ford describes the system-fault countdown as the distance remaining before starting is restricted. Seek help before it reaches that point.
Can you help if my Ford Edge will not start?
Contact us with the registration and exact warning. We check suitability for AdBlue software work first. We cannot promise to resolve a no-start condition caused by an unrelated fault.
Does AdBlue Removal mean taking the tank out?
No. Our service changes software only. We do not physically remove the tank or replace any AdBlue components.
Is a performance or economy remap included?
No. Economy Remap, Performance Remap, Stage 1 Remap and Stage 2 Remap are quoted separately, as are software-only DPF Delete and EGR Delete. Suitability checks apply, and Stage 2 needs suitable supporting modifications.
What should I send if I have already topped up?
Send a photo of the warning now showing, your registration and postcode. Tell us roughly how much fluid you added, when you added it and whether the car currently starts.
Need Help With an AdBlue Warning?
Send your registration, postcode and a photo of the warning. We check suitability and confirm the price before anything is booked.
