What is your Touareg telling you?
A refill reminder and a no-start countdown need different levels of attention. Volkswagen’s Touareg guidance describes warnings that become more urgent as the remaining AdBlue range falls. At zero range, the engine will not restart after it is switched off.
If the red recharge AdBlue warning appears, Volkswagen says to stop as soon as it is safe. Do not keep driving simply to avoid switching off. When contacting us, include the complete message and any remaining mileage shown.
Why has the AdBlue warning appeared?
Low fluid is one explanation, but Volkswagen also distinguishes an AdBlue system malfunction from a refill requirement. That means the warning alone is not enough to establish the cause. If you have already topped up, tell us how much you added and whether the wording changed.
AdBlue is held in a separate tank and used in the exhaust system, not mixed into diesel. Follow the instructions for your particular Touareg when refilling. If AdBlue has accidentally gone into the fuel tank, do not start the engine and seek assistance.
Does your Touareg use AdBlue?
Volkswagen’s August 2018 UK Touareg brochure lists 3.0-litre V6 TDI SCR engines and confirms that SCR versions require AdBlue. A UK long-term test also records AdBlue top-ups on its diesel Touareg. This does not mean every diesel Touareg from every year has the same system.
We confirm the vehicle details and software suitability from your registration before quoting. Not every vehicle is suitable, so please do not book on the assumption that an engine badge or registration year is enough.
How AdBlue Solutions can help
AdBlue Delete and AdBlue Removal are two names for the same software service. We change the engine computer’s software so it no longer runs or monitors the AdBlue system, clearing the related warnings and countdown.
This is not a parts service. We do not replace, fit, repair or clean tanks, pumps, sensors or injectors. The software work does not fix unrelated engine faults, so tell us about any other warnings or running problems when you enquire.
After checking suitability and agreeing the quote, we arrange a mobile visit to your home, workplace or another safe place, subject to availability. Our standard hours are Monday to Sunday, 8 AM to 8 PM. Emergency callouts are available 24/7, subject to location and availability, with an additional emergency callout charge confirmed before dispatch.
Why choose us for mobile software work?
AdBlue Solutions offers experienced technicians and nationwide mobile service across England. You can read genuine Google reviews before deciding whether to book.
Our No Fix, No Fee promise is straightforward: If we cannot complete the job, there is no charge.
Our Lifetime Software Warranty applies to the software work on that vehicle. If the covered work develops a problem, we correct it again. Later software updates or recalls void the warranty. Callout charges, including emergency callout charges, are not covered.
Book your Touareg in three steps
Start with the vehicle details and the warning you can see. Please also tell us whether the Touareg currently starts and where it is parked.
- 1. Send your registration, postcode and warning details, ideally with a photo, by WhatsApp. Alternatively, call or use the quote form.
- 2. We check suitability and provide a quote, confirming any applicable emergency callout charge before dispatch.
- 3. Arrange a mobile appointment at your home, work or another safe location, subject to availability.
Customer FAQs
Will topping up clear my Touareg’s AdBlue warning?
A refill is the appropriate response to a low-fluid message, following the handbook. A system malfunction is different, so a top-up is not a guaranteed answer to every warning. Send us the exact wording if you are unsure.
Can you help if my Touareg already will not start?
Contact us with the registration, postcode and dashboard photo, and say that it will not start. We check suitability before accepting the job. We cannot promise that software work will resolve a starting problem unrelated to AdBlue.
Does AdBlue Removal mean taking the tank out?
No. Our service changes software only. We do not physically remove the tank or other components, and we do not carry out parts repairs.
Are remaps included with AdBlue work?
No. Economy Remap, Performance Remap, Stage 1 Remap, Stage 2 Remap, DPF Delete and EGR Delete are additional software services, quoted separately and never included free. Suitability must be checked, and Stage 2 needs suitable supporting modifications.
Can you visit outside standard hours?
Yes, 24/7 emergency callouts are available subject to location and availability. An additional emergency callout charge is confirmed before dispatch. Ask when enquiring so we can check the options for your postcode.
